Tim is an emergency and retrieval physician at the Southern General Hospital and the EMRS in Glasgow and is dually trained in emergency medicine and intensive care.
He has worked as a consultant in ITU and A&E at the Southern General and been Clinical Director of Emergency Medicine for both South Glasgow Hospitals and Auckland City Hospital in New Zealand. He was involved in setting up the forerunner service to EMRS for West Scotland and initiated the Auckland Rescue Helicopter EMS. Other PHC experience includes duties with Medic 1 in Edinburgh, the UK emergency response to the Kurdish refugee crisis in Northern Iraq, the Glasgow Shock Team and the 'Lifeflight' national air ambulance service in New Zealand
